This poem is a gentle yet powerful reminder that peace and justice are inseparable. Through simple, heartfelt verses, it captures the essence of fairness, kindness, and respect as the building blocks of a better world. The poet calls us to reject conflict and embrace compassion, to say “sorry” with sincerity, and to carry lightness in our hearts as we walk together. At Poets & Peace, we believe that such voices echo a universal truth: peace is not passive, it is active; justice is not optional, it is essential. Only when they move together—hand in hand—can humanity truly stand united.
Peace and Justice, Hand in Hand
Peace is living together hand in hand,
Spreading love across the land.
Justice means we are all free,
equal in worth –both you and me.
Peace is kindness, calm and care.
Justice means we all play fair.
Helping others everywhere we go,
Planting seeds, so peace may grow.
Don’t argue, don’t fight,
choose peace, choose right.
Say ‘sorry’ with a smile so bright,
And walk ahead with a heart made light.
Peace and Justice, hand in hand,
together strong, united we stand.
No need to fight for religion or caste
Love and respect all that we want.
Justice is our birth right,
Peace must reach to greater heights
Let our values, firm and tight,
To make the world forever bright.
