A Call for Peace

Conflict, war, bloodshed, loss, and death. This is the reality of war. When those in power control the fates of millions, simply because they cannot find compromise or hold a civil conversation when conflicting opinions arise. When the adults we should look up to behave like children fighting over a toy. Why is it only after millions of innocent lives are lost that the world begins to talk? Why wait for war to ask for peace? Peace should be the foundation of all decisions concerning human life. Peace is our birthright. Peace is what the world should strive for. Whether one is a man or woman, child or adult, rich or poor, black or white, or anywhere in between—only we can save ourselves. And if some turn a deaf ear, there will be others who fight, who speak up, who rise above to build a better world for us all.

It is often the youth—the future generation of change-makers—who are willing to speak up. They are the ones who question the rules of life. They question everything. So what happens when they learn of the injustice that prevails around the world? They read. They write. They speak up. Their sense of injustice drives them to make a difference. This is a platform for people like them. People who want change. People who write. People who seek peace, once and for all.

This is for you! Here, poets and authors who believe in peace can submit their work for the world to see. This space provides both a raw glimpse into the thoughts of today’s youth and a place where you’ll be recognized for your contributions to a greater cause. You can also donate here to support those in need.

Let’s come together and change the world!
